West Orange is ready!

It is that time again!
The season is here. We have the 100inning game in the books. Right around the corner is the Orange and Blue game. This game is exciting in many ways. First both junior varsity and varsity players will play together forming two teams. The junior varsity will wear a varsity uniform for the first time ever. Best of all the coaches get to see the present right along with the future of West Orange baseball.
Up to this point we have done great with raising funds to help support the team and get the complex in playing shape. We have had work days getting everything accomplished to make our complex shine. The parents have put in countless hours helping in anyway they can. This ranges from taking pictures to hammering in nails or even picking up trash. All of this means the first games are right around the corner.
The varsity is hosting a pre season tournament this season. They will open at home in that tourney on Feb. 11th at 7 pm against Freedom HS. Then the real season begins on Feb. 17th at home against Pine Castle at 7pm. The following day the junior varsity will open at home against cross town rival Apopka HS at 7pm.
As we all know last year was the first time in school history the baseball team won the district crown. They open district play this year to defend there crown on Mar 7 at Ocoee HS at 1pm. Finishing the regular season district play just over a month later Apr 17 at Edgewater HS at 530pm. Can we repeat?
This should be a very exciting season for the entire baseball program. The junior varsity has high expectations as well as varsity for the first time in a few years. We hope all of you can make it out to the ball park to support which ever team you root for. Best of luck to all this season!
GO WARRIORS!
